On the Road - A Short History

ON THE ROAD WITH GREG AND CATHY



The 25’ Coachmen Catalina Lite is our present traveling hotel. It is our first trailer with a walk-around, queen-size bed. It travels well behind our 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
When we started this trip we didn’t know that we would end up buying a new 27’ Coachmen Capri in Georgia.

By September 2001 we were both retired and since then our travels have been on the pattern of two months in the fall and two months in the spring.

Fall 2001 – New Mexico and Arizona
Spring 2002 - Louisiana
Fall 2002 – New England (V.T., M.E., N.Y., N.H.)
Spring 2003 - Florida
Fall 2003 – mid-West, West, south-West
Spring 2004 – northern Florida and South Carolina
Fall 2004 – Smoky Mountains of North Carolina
Spring 2005 - Louisiana
Fall 2005 – Hudson Valley, N.Y. to Savannah, G.A.

All of our trips originate from Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Our fall trips usually end in northern Alabama where we store the trailer until spring. That was not to happen this year. At the end of this trip we stored the new trailer in Columbia, S.C.
