NORTH CAROLINA and GEORGIA

NORTH CAROLINA and GEORGIA

We had been at both of these resorts before.

Travel Resorts of America (Sycamore Lane) in North Carolina is nestled in among tall pines and has a comfortable pine needle and sand rug! There were activities all weekend including a Hee-Haw show, Sat. Night Dinner and a Country and Western concert. The gnats were also in attendance.
Tobacco was being harvested from the field across the road.

Northshore Resort is located mid-way between Augusta and Atlanta, GA.
Our site was on Lake Oconee. It came with a wooden deck and train tracks. Ants became an issue here. As well, a gust of wind flipped our awning up and over the trailer.
A lot of time was spent visiting small “historical” towns. “Historical” means the “town is dead but we are fixing things up to attract tourists.”

The egrets were morning visitors. They always seem to catch something. The herons were our evening visitors.

Kudzu vine is an imported planted. You do not want to drink and snooze on the front porch too long. There is nothing slow about the growth of this plant

The Mississippi Bucket O’ Light illuminates the campsite every evening. It is our portable moon. Thus, we moon everywhere we go.

This is a tourist attraction in Greensboro!
